Aaron Junod is a life long technologist, and CTO of ZSuite Technologies. This is my site.

Background

I was born and raised in East Windsor CT, surrounded by fields often growing tobacco. Tractors were common on our roads, and I spent more time wandering corn fields than one might imagine.

My first computer was an Amiga 1000 in 5th grade, it was so advanced it had a mouse and 256K of memory. Later I ended up with a Packard Bell 486 sx33. I ran a modified Renegade BBS (ARROW KEYS AND MORE!) and really dug the ANSI scene.

I ended up selling computers at Lechmere in high school, and trekked off to Texas for college. I spent about 4 years in TX, didn't do a whole lot of colleging though.

I first started fixing computers at a local small shop, then I ran everything plugged into a wall for a recruiting and background investigation firm. That's where I'd play a bit with Paradox DOS, become LANTastic certified, and make the switch to developing software, right around the Y2K fun. I was building preemployment tools here with Delphi, and ASP.

I moved back to CT, spent a few years contracting with VB, ASP and some networking before joining Evolution Benefits, now Wex Health. I joined a 22 person company, and was quickly humbled by the experience around me. I'd stay with this team for 8.5 years, leaving a 375 person team. While here I helped build the original Benny Central before taking over all integrations. My team designed and built the flagship HSA product, and managed all file transfers and APIs. When I left I was running the mobile team.

I bounced around for a bit before spending 5 years at Geezeo, a personal finance management company. At Geezeo I was head of product and spearheaded the evolution of the product from a single page SSO into an embedded finance platform.

Soon after the Jack Henry acquired Geezeo, Nathan Baumeister started to recruit me for ZSuite. I had spend 5 years working directly with banks and credit unions at Geezeo, and really wanted to continue to do so. Nathan painted a picture of ZSuite building various tools to help banks better serve commercial customers.

5 years later and I continue to serve as ZSuite's CTO, where we have recently crossed the threshold of 100 banks on our flagship product, ZEscrow.

On the personal side, I am a father of a student attending UConn, I love to travel with my wife, and I tinker with things constantly. I just setup our new 3d printer last night, and am going to check o na print now.
